Characteristics and Behavior
This species doesn't share a definite anatomy, but instead what each member of the species has in common is firstly a few common physical characteristics, but most importantly, their nature. That is a nature of benevolence and a disposition to seek to comfort others. Kozians are like therapy animals to their owners. They are comfort creatures, or emotional support animals. Think of all the times when, as a child, you clung to your favorite toy, or cuddled it as you drifted off to sleep. This is what Kozians are all about. In Plushie Form they fulfill this most literally, while in Friend Form they essentially become the living, breathing animals many of us imagined our childhood plushies to be when we would play with and cuddle them, and look into their eyes and talk to them.
One fun thing to do is to "give" a Kozian to another original character (OC) of yours. Your OC can keep their new friend by their side for comfort and cuddles just like anyone would with their favorite stuffed toy. Kozians can fit into any other original universe that simply allows plushies - because in "reality" that's all they are! Your OC can still go on adventures to Kozia with their Kozian because Kozian adventures happen all in the imagination. You can even create an "imagination universe" that allows Kozians to use their Friend Form for "real". One moment the Kozian is a comforting cotton toy in Plushie Form, and then suddenly a majestic beast in Friend Form! |
Kozians can't die, as they are made of imagination. When in Plushie Form, the plushie can be damaged or destroyed, but this would not kill the Kozian because it could simply be repaired or remade. When in Friend Form, they are able to regenerate instantly if damaged, since they are imagination. When in either form, they do not feel pain due to any type of damage, nor do they bleed. Kozians may look like real animals in Friend Form, but even in Friend Form, they are completely full of stuffing (which can be a variety of colors and materials) and do not have flesh or bone. They hold their shape through imagination!
What changes in Plushie Form... changes in Friend Form!
Since Kozians are plushies in the real world, they can be damaged or torn. But just like real plushies, they can be sewn or patched back up with new patterns or materials, and even given new features by sewing them on! Sometimes if they are torn or get worn out, their stuffing will poke out and can look like fluff or fur details! An owner can add new features whenever they like. Whatever is added to their Plushie Form gains representation in their Friend Form. For example, if you sewed or painted new patches of color on their tail in Plushie Form, they would have the same new colors on their tail in Friend Form!
As a plushie, they continue to be inanimate, but in Friend Form, any additions that have been sewn onto them while in Plushie Form become like real for the Kozian! If you sewed wings onto you Kozian, they can now fly while in Friend Form! Or if you want, they could even fly without wings. With Kozians, it's all about imagination.

Loving to All
Kozians come in all shapes and sizes, and can even look rather abstract, but are always G rated in appearance. They are always safe for all ages and inoffensive. Any depictions outside of that standard are not allowed and not canon. Kozians always exist on a level of thinking equivalent to that of an innocent child's imagination. Think of them as childhood imaginary friends! They do not have romantic relationships of any kind, however one of their main purposes is to hold meaningful platonic friendship bonds with others. They are completely incapable of harming others or doing evil because they have the minds of innocent children, and are loving toward everyone. ♥
"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends..." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (ESV)
